These hunts takes place in WMU #2, 5B, 6A, 6C, and 7, which are NW New Mexico near the town of Cuba, NM. Hunts occur on private land along with some hunting on public land. Private Land Vouchers are inlcluded in the price of each hunt. These hunts are a spot and stalk style hunt with lots of hiking and glassing with some still hunting on water holes and food sources in some areas during archery season. The terrain consists of sagebrush canyons and pinon/juniper mesas. Expect to be hunting at elevations around 7,000 feet. These hunts offer a realistic opportunity to harvest a nice trophy bull in the 280 to 320 range in Units 5B, 6A, 6C and 7 and 260-300 in Unit 2 with the realistic potential for larger bulls in 5B, 6A and 6C. 6C hunts are the most physically demanding and hunters should be in excellent shape. These are fully guided (2X1) hunts with lodging and meals included. You can upgrade to 1x1 for $1500 more. Accommodations consists of a ranch house style camp and wall tent camps in some areas. You can drive directly to the camp or fly into Albuquerque, NM, rent a vehicle and drive to camp. It’s about a 1.5-hour drive.
