Archery Elk Hunts: Archery elk hunts run from September 1st to 30th in the Bighorn National Forest, based out of a comfortable wall tent camp that is fully accessible by vehicle. The camp sits at 7,000 feet in the scenic Tongue River drainage. • Accommodations: Meals are served in a 16x20 cook tent, and you’ll stay in a 12x14 wall tent equipped with a floor, custom wood stoves, lanterns, and XL padded cots for a comfortable stay. • Hunting Style: Guides are experts at locating bugling bulls and calling them in, creating one of the most thrilling hunting experiences in North America. They also utilize spot-and-stalk, blinds, and tree stands for optimal shot opportunities. • Transportation: Pickups and ATVs are used to reach hunting areas, but the final approach is always on foot. Being in good physical shape will enhance your experience and improve your chances of success. • Trophy Expectations: Bulls on these hunts typically score 280-320, with opportunities for larger bulls. These are 1x1 guided hunts, with shot opportunities ranging from 90% to 100% most years. If needed, horses are available for packing out your elk. • Hunting Units: We guide in Units 37, 38, and 39, which generally require 5-13 preference points to draw.
